It is said that the Bull Terrier has the strength of a
Bulldog and the terrier's tenacity to create the ultimate fighting dog. The
Bull Terrier was immensely popular for its exploits in the dog fighting pit
during the 1800s when that sport was accepted. White is the preferred color,
although the colored Bull Terriers tend to have a much lower incidence of
deafness, skin inflammations, and heart disease. Today, the breed does have
a lower than average tendency to snap and bite, and is generally good with
people. |
